KATMAI
Katmai National Park has an estimated population of 2,000 grizzly bears. We camped out by Brooks River, which has the worlds largest sockeye salmon run in peak season.
This Park is located on the Alaska Peninsula southwest of Anchorage.
We got a chance to see up to 50 to 70 bears. This may sound like a tall tail, but check out the photos!
A wolf came by to snag some scraps left over from the bears.
Naknek Lake
This photo was taken from the top of Dumpling Mountian.
What you see is the 1.5 mile long Brooks River.
It flows from Brooks Lake into Naknek Lake.
The airport in the little town of King Salmon.
Take a close look and you’ll see the huge variety of snacks in their vending machine!

Very cool!! Glad I didn't know you were so close to so many bears until after the fact. It would have made me worried.
Ben you are such an adventurer. These pics are way cool. This is Ronda Love by the way
